Busy day

I woke up super early this morning and went to get my teeth cleaned. Which hurt because I hadn't gotten them done in a couple of years. So I'm going to tell you know, go get your teeth cleaned because the longer you wait the worse it'll be to get that crud off your teeth. For real, it hurts.

Also, we got our brakes done on the Ford. 317 dollars later and we still might have to scrap the car and start over. The reason you may ask? Our Tranny took a dump on us and we might have to buy a new one. We really don't have the 3 grand they want to charge for it. We're going to keep getting estimates but I'm pretty upset about it. I don't know what to do.

Let's talk about something more fun okay? How about food?!

After picking up the car, Marc and I both needed a little cheering up so we went to Applebee's. I picked it because of all the healthy options they have! Marc got a cowboy burger and I got the Weigh Watchers endorsed Steak and Potato Salad. I highly recommend this salad! I NEVER get salads when we go out to eat because #1 I don't care for salad, #2 I want to get something I'd have trouble making at home!

This salad had a delicious Dijon vinaigrette and roasted red peppers, red onion, tomatoes and herby roasted potatoes! The only problem is that I didn't realize until we left that I was supposed to get an egg with my salad. They never gave it to me! Look how pretty it is in the picture, lol!

Marc went to work today! It was only a couple of hours, but he makes twice as much as I do so it equals to about 4.5 to 5 hours at my job! I'm happy for him, and think it might help his mood.

Honestly, I feel really bad for him sometimes. He wants so badly to have a career and be able to provide solely for our little family but the job market sucks right now. He's hoping to hear from Union Pacific in the fall for a job opening.

Me, I'm just plugging away at the job at the condo and school starts in 23 days. I'm determined to finish and figure out how to apply my degree into a career. I'm keeping it positive because lord knows we don't need anymore negativity in our lives.

Ugh, the transmission is the worst! We have a minivan and the trans went out 2 years ago. The estimates were upwards of $2500. Thankfully, my dad is an auto mechanic, so he was able to do the labor. And he found a trans at a junkyard for $500! The minivan is still running today :)

It wouldn't hurt to call some scrap yards and see if they have what you're looking for. It'll save you a fortune.
