Mission Impossible

Marc should be calling me any minute to accept or decline his mission. A mission he has never attempted before...

Brownies.

This recipe is tried and true (I made it for 3 big dudes hauling a huge piano up a flight of stairs when we lived in an apartment, they didn't kill me afterwards, so it must have been a success).

When a girl wants brownies from her man...who is at home while she is working...must accept the challenge.

So let's see what happens!

In other news, I am almost complete in learning Mad World by Gary Jules on the piano. This music is just to tied me over until I start lessons May 7th! YAY!

On Friday we saw a really funny musical, for my music appreciation class, called "The Great American Trailer Park Musical". Super funny!

We had different a different cast, but man it was funny, especially because it was based in STARKE FLORIDA! It was filled with all the funny stereotypes that come with redneck trailer parks...loved it.

I'm on spring break for the next week and I can promise you I will be pretending I'm in Cabo, even if I am still working!

Loves!

Eyes are closing..must. wake. up...

This weekend was glorious, fun-filled, enjoyable, and USEFUL! I got so much done!

Friday was enjoyably lazy, we woke up so late I think it was 11:30am?
We did some errands here and there, and ended up watching our niece and nephew for a while, and had dinner made By my father in law, aka the fish cook. I swear he has some kind of voodoo when it comes to cooking fish, it's always awesome!

Saturday was much busier, self made busy I should say. I ended up, cleaning the oven inside and out, mopping the floors and carpet, vacuuming, cleaning out the rabbits cages, three loads of laundry, dishes, and cleaned the entryway of the house top to bottom (salty from winter). Also I baked cookies and made bread. THEN Marc and I started tilling the yard outside for the garden. We are going to plant cucumbers, tomatoes, radishes, carrots, sugar snap peas, sunflowers, and nasturtiums. We got that all done (lots of worms!) and planted the peas and radishes, since they aren't as fussy. Then I planted all the rest of the seeds so they can germinate inside. We'll see if it works out at all. i have hopes, but I also have doubts. We don't have that warm of a house, and we don't have any light to put on them..we'll see.

Today we grilled out and spent some time with nana, our cousin Alicia, and her boyfriend Luke. It was soooo gorgeous outside today! We ended up getting all of my summer clothes out of the attic for the occasion! I even got a little bit pink from the sun!

Forgive the phone picture, I haven't found my battery plug yet for the camera so it's been out of commission. I'm not going to promise anything about it or I'll jinx myself! (OH AND FORGIVE MARC'S SCOWL, HE MUSTA BEEN LOOKING INTO THE SUN??)

I had a cup of coffee before going to work tonight, but after 5 hours of music, algebra, and english lit homework...my eyes don't want to stay open.

HOPE YOUR WEEKEND WAS FABULOUS. KNOW I LOVE YOU, I'M JUST TRYING TO KEEP MY HEAD ABOVE WATER RIGHT NOW!!

I love it!

I miss my BLOG!!

next week is spring break, which means I will have some time to get things accomplished, including some interesting posts!

One semi-interesting project going on in my life is that I'm trying to lose 6 pounds by my birthday (may 1st)! That way I would be in a lower decade!! I'm optimistic, and have been really watching what I'm eating! I feel great, and i love it!

Today, for example, I had a chocolate peanut butter protein shake for breakfast, it filled me up so well!

ingredients for protein shake: 1 cup nonfat milk, 3 cups spinach, 1 to 2 servings chocolate protein powder, 4 tbsps sugar free chocolate syrup, 1 1/2 tbsp peanut butter...yum! Next time I'll try to remember adding flax meal! Plus the added spinach has no taste, so you can just feel great that it is in there!! I love it!

A Copycat version of Wendy's Apple Pecan Chicken Salad

My salad included Spring mix lettuce, Craisins, blue cheese, raspberry vinaigrette, grilled chicken breast (gotta love the George Foreman!).
Plus a slice of homemade whole wheat bread! Did I tell you I got a bread machine? I've been using it soo much! I love it, best appliance in my kitchen!

For dinner I'll be having some savory oats! Have you ever tried oats with cheese and veggies? You should, I love it! Mix up some oats with milk,an egg, cheese, and seasoning, add veggies, microwave and yum yum! Lottsa protein, whole grains, veggie power, etc!!

I got that picture from one of my favorite bloggers, Caitlin. , I look at her blog everyday, I love it!

Talk to you guys sooner rather than later I hope!
