Sleepy

It's only 7:40 and I want to crawl under the desk and take a nap! So tired!!

Yesterday I got a belated Christmas gift of pure maple syrup! So of course my breakfast had to center around what I would consider liquid gold.

I ended up having a slice of french toast, with half and apple and banana on the side...with a teensy bit of syrup on the fruit too! Don't judge LOL! Of course, I also had a glass of iced coffee with hazelnut creamer :)

Lunch was just kind of thrown together with what we had in the house. I should have eaten boatloads more veggies! I just wasn't in the mood.

Later on I had an english muffin with onion chive cream cheese on it.

Dinner will be another chicken drumstick, roasted broccoli from yesterday, and a some romaine.

I just wasn't really into food that much today! It kind of went downhill from breakfast! Nothing can beat maple syrup!

I just went over all of our finances and now i'm EXHAUSTED...anybody wanna be my (FREE) accountant?

Goodnight guys, wish me energy to finish out the work shift!

A Regular Day in the Neighborhood

Today was just another regular plain jane day. I'm kind of visualizing that each day off of school brings me that much more peace and readiness for next semester. So everyday I try to accomplish something on my mental list of decluttering.

Today was to take down the Christmas tree, and too get rid of some old books. While I was taking down the tree I found this ribbon, and put it on Beanka haha
She's so cute!

All I need to do tomorrow is put the books in my car and take them to the library here at work. Tomorrow I am decluttering my makeup desk and clearing out some clothing to try to get money at Plato's Closet. I lit all of my candles today and stuck one in each room! I love candles!!

In the meantime, i thought I would show you my eats for the day! For Breakfast, I had an apple and a banana with two glasses of iced coffee with Hazelnut creamer.

Lunch was a light wheat english muffin with a over easy egg, ham, havarti cheese, and onion chived cream cheese (I don't have to tell you how good this was!) with some Wasabi Peas on the side.

Have you ever had Wasabi Peas? I was just Facebooking about them earlier today, I love them for many reasons! They're crunchy with a sweet taste in the background followed by a PUNCH of spicy! It's a different spice then hot sauce but it's SO GOOD! As addicting as they could be, it's nearly IMPOSSIBLE to go overboard with these because the fire builds and starts stinging my nose! It's the perfect thing to grab when I just feel snacky. 55 peices equal 130 calories so i'm good!

For dinner, I'm having a salad of Romaine and baby spinach topped with some roasted broccoli. I roasted the florets with fat free italian dressing, garlic powder, onion powder, and pepper. So yummy, especially the carmelized parts. The trick to eating veggies is making it taste good! Roasting is a great option!o

I'm also going to have some Yellow bell pepper strips with red pepper hummus, a great combination!

Since eating well is all about balance, I'm going to have a serving of this ice cream I found IT'S SO GOOD.

My idea for keeping myself in line with eating all my fruits and veggies, is to 'reward' myself with a sweet treat at night when I go home! So far it's been working really well!

Well that's all she wrote folks! Love you!

Stocking stuffers for "Him"

So I know it's later into the Christmas Season, but I thought I would share what I bought Marc for his Stocking this year!

For the first couple of years I was so boggled about what to get him, and really each guy is different but I think I've finally cracked the guy code this year!

I got him...

A Street Rodder Magazine (2011, lol)

An Operation hand held game (for 7.99 booyah!)

A "Would you rather" card game (I actually think I got the one that's for little kids, but that could be funny, maybe it even has questions about BOOGERS!!!)

A candy cane filled with Reeses (Mini's not pieces! Use your imagination!)

A Christmas ornament that has a place to stick our picture... (looks nothing like this but the baby was so cute I couldn't resist!)

I think I'll use this picture for the inside!
Last but not least he's getting a big onion for two reasons... #1, to round out the toe of his stocking, #2 he's a huge BRAT.

So those are my ideas for the stocking!! What are you filling your stockings with?

Can't Wait!

There are so many things that I can't wait for, but even more than Christmas, I can't wait for our routine to start again.

With Marc working double shifts, it's been really hectic. If there was one person in the world who should NOT work third shift, it's him. His body gets so messed up, and what a cranky JERK that can make him be. I told him he is getting nothing but coal and onions for Christmas.

I've been training a new guy for work the last couple of days, so that's why I've been blogging AWOL.

Despite all of our crabbiness, and just all around screwed up lives, we did get a few things accomplished today. It's Marc's dad's birthday, so we brought over his present and got to chat for a few minutes. Then I got my hair did (just a shape up) and went to a cafe for lunch/dinner.

I'll show you my favorite time of the day though...

Breakfast! Yeah that's whip cream on my iced coffee... I'm pretty legit.

Love you guys!

laying low

I've been laying low since the end of the semester Thursday...I just needed some time! My body still feels extremely stressed out and I'm not sure why.

I had a back ache and headache all day, plus I forgot my lunch! I was whining to Marc and he was like just get Chinese, so I did.

You guys don't want to know what I got lol! It was too good, now I just have to work out extra hard tomorrow.

The First Day of the Rest of My Life

I've always liked the saying "The First Day of the Rest of My Life". It motivates me that yesterdays decisions don't matter, and to live in the present, not the future, or the past.

With that being said, I focused on doing things today that I wanted to do.

I wrapped presents (at 1am)

Watched a 'Chick Flick' (at 2am)

Read a people magazine (at 3:30am)

Watched the finale of The Biggest Loser (at 11:15am)

Took extra time on my hair and makeup (3pm)

Etc etc.

As you can see, I stayed up past 4am last night (Rrrr this morning) since Marc had to work until 6:30am. I wanted to stay up as long as possible so that our sleep schedules would both be a little skewed. He works for a company that sorts mail, and with the holidays he has to pick up other shifts. Unfortunately last night he couldn't sleep between his first and second shift (home at 10pm, left at 1:30am). I felt so bad, so that last thing I wanted to do was wake him up too early this morning because I had had a regular sleep night. Our apartment is so tiny, I would wake him no matter what I did. We ended up waking up at around 11am and he's at home taking a nap before work (he's actually probably up now and left for work).

I'm shipping out packages tomorrow (hope they'll get to my family on time!) and I have to take my last final! I think I'm quite prepared, so we'll see!

What have you done for 'you' today???

Part One: Math Final

I took part one of my math final today and ACED IT! Not a single question wrong, woohoo!

I take the second part on Thursday! It's my last class and I'm so excited!

I gave myself a manicure to celebrate, I never think to look at the names of the colors, but this is a tangerine base with a gold glitter top coat from Sinful Colors at Walgreens.

Sorry it's a bit blurry!

Look what happened the first time I tried to take this picture!!

Is my camera about to die or something?! Spooky.

I gave myself a "healthy" break from my hyper-vigilant eating and exercise habits because juggling school with it just seemed overwhelming. I didn't really talk about it here on the blog because it was embarrassing to say that I was having a hard time, to be honest! I just wanted to let everyone know that I am back on the wagon, and so ready to bring in the New Year healthier than when I started!

This is my eats for tomorrow, I count the calories on Sparkpeople, and then write it down on scratch paper to place on my fridge. This was the day is already accounted for, and I know what I'm having. It's really worked for me.

I've got my water, and my apple for a snack at work tonight

and for eats today I have toast with Peanut butter, and tomato soup with grilled cheese. I'll be eating dinner when I get home around 11:30pm. That's what my schedule looks like when I have school. It'll be so much better tomorrow!

Speaking of eating, I hate where I have to eat at work, after complaining, and actually cleaning back there, I still come here to this...

I'm sorry guys I know that's gross, but imagine having to eat next to that! There is cookies back there from last Christmas too. Disgusting.

I'm so ready to get into a more relaxed schedule guys!!! Get ready for it :)!!!

Finals are almost over! I only have one left, and so far I'm all A's for the semester! Don't ask me how I did it LOL! I have no idea!

Marc and I went Christmas Shopping today! We only have to shop for our family secret Santas and fill our stockings :)

We just got these today and I think they are beyond adorable! Look at the baby stockings!!! One for Beanka, Einstein, and Violet Aww!

I have to get back to studying for my math final, and then in the next month you'll be wishing me away! I am so excited to have a full month break!!!!

Goodnight! How far are you on your Christmas/ Holiday shopping??

The Good and the Bad

Good- I got an A in my Sociology class, so I don't have to take the final, or go for the last few classes HOLLA!

Bad- I have a two part final for Math next week.

Good- The holidays are coming up!

Bad- I have to work Christmas, and New Years.

Good- I only have to work my regular shift, 5pm to 11pm.

Bad- It sucks.

Good- Time and a half

Bad- Eating out WAY TOO MUCH lately!

Good- Soon school stress will be over, so focus on weight can be at 100%, and not survival.

You guys have any "goods and bads?" you'd like to share?

Seriously this made me bust a gut laughing so hard!! I'm in such a giggle mood today, which wasn't so great to be in in my Sociology class haha! I swear my professor fell asleep today!

So hopefully this made you laugh as much as it made me! What are your favorite youtube videos?

Cinema Kaput!

I just finished my Cinema class for the semester, and I really could not be happier! I HATED this class, it was ridiculous the amount of work I had to put in. I think I averaged about 5-7 hours a week on homework, and a record breaking 12 hours on my thesis paper. Expecting that much for a class that I thought was supposed to be semi-enjoyable. Oh well, I'm DONE!

I got my teeth cleaned today, I actually don't mind going to the dentist but HATE going to the doctor. What about you?

After the dentist, I went to Marshalls (I love Marshalls, and TJ Maxx!), and bought my Christmas dress.

I tried on three dresses, all three fit....

All three were a SIZE SIX!

I CAN'T FATHOM THIS. I am beyond happy, I don't even care that the dress has spandex in it, this dress FITS ME!! Being a six 6 dress was really one of my only original goals, and today I teared up a little in the dressing room.

I also got a vest to go with my long sleeves, I thought this color combination was nice together. Do you like vests? I was reluctant to try it at first because I just picture in being frumpy, but it was comfortable, and quite cute so I'm up for it!

Also, on a random note, I've been obsessing with candles lately. This one is particularly nice, since it has an energizing scent.

I got it at Walgreens, if you are at all interested!

Have a good night all!

It's time...

Oh boy.

I have procrastinated too far and am now REALLY paying for it. I'm on my second page of 7. It's due tomorrow at midnight, but I am having a hard time even coming up with things to write in this paper.

Here's what I want to say:

Slaves were malnurished and some died because of said lack of nurtition...
The end.

Tada!

Wish me luck, my goal is to be almost done with this thing before marc gets home (9ish).
On a much more funny note, today Marc put on an adult diaper and pretended to poo in Nana's living room while she laughed hysterically.

(Thankfully not my husband, he put the diaper on over his clothes lol!)

Nana also has decided that Summers Eve Feminine Wash is the BEST hand lotion, (she has no idea what it is!) In the process she thoroughly grossing out her grandson, and making me laugh hysterically while she wipes in on his arm.

And for the kicker, Nana thinks Ducks go "Fuck Fuck Fuck" instead of "Quack Quack Quack", I almost peed my pants!

Now back to stupid African American History homework...

Oh Christmas Tree!!

We put up our Christmas tree tonight! Yay!

It's such a Charlie Brown tree, it's what we do best :)

Wondering who took our picture? Our best friend...

Chair Laundry Stand. Oh yeah.

I love you guys, and I ate too many Cookies!

I'm off to cuddle with my loves...Goodnight!
