How Supportive He Is!!!

You know, sometimes I complain about my husband. I say he's a jerk, he's inconsiderate, he's this, he's that.

But you know what? He is ALWAYS there for me. I think we pick on the ones who are truly there for us because we know their love is unshakable.

My Marc ran with me yesterday. Even though he is all legs and a foot and 5-6 inches taller than me he ran with me the whole way. Supporting me through the run and helping me shave off another 2+ minutes from my time. I ran a 5k in 43:12!!! Who am I?

Throughout the whole run we talked about our goals, and our dreams. We talked about the one day that we can take a vacation and wake up to eat a healthy breakfast and run on the beach. It made me cry. I know one day life will get a little less complicated (don't burst my hope bubble) and we will be able to live the way we deserve.

Through thick and thin (uh yeah, literally) he has been by my side. The one I can tell everything to. My knight in shining armor.

The day he asked me to marry him:

Last night he even cooked us dinner! Not only did he make dinner, he made us a VEGAN dinner! A green bean casserole from the Mama Pea cookbook!

In everything that I do, Marc is here to support me. To tell me that everything is going to be okay and not to worry so much. As a woman I think I get carried away by all the things I feel like I should be doing in order to be productive. I know with Marc I can be myself and not worry about those societal pressures. I truly am a lucky woman, and I need to take the time to remember to tell him how much he means to me.

Just beautiful! You're so right - we have to appreciate the great people in our lives and remember to let them know however we can.
Your pictures are great -especially that naked engagement picture ;) You have a lot going on and a lot on your mind.I know it seems like you have to wait a long time for everything to fall into place - but it will happen soon enough...so just enjoy the ride with Marc by your side :)
Cheers! - Lynne

Thank you Lynne! It's hard to get a picture of Marc with his shirt on LOL! It's like he's allergic to them or something!

I feel ya! My boyfriend has been there my whole weight loss too. He even lost 60 lbs with me! You are so lucky to have a friend like that! I'm a little jealous about the vegan dinner thing. When my bf and I went vegan that pretty much meant that I was the one cooking from then on. He only knows how to scramble eggs lol!

We are VERY fortunate to have such supportive and loving husbands in our lives. I don't take it for granted at all. I'm sure he benefited from that super dinner last night! They say you get to a man's heart through his stomach. Well, the path to a woman's heart is through pitching in!!!

That is awesome! There is something wonderful about a man who supports his woman and doesn't just cheerleader from afar but is actually involved. I've got the same. Today is my first mammygrammy and he's going with me and said "I would get one done too if I could." Don't think I'm not going to ask if she can do the same to him or at least come out and scare him and tell him to come on back!

Wonderful! My husband is supportive from a far. Wish he'd decide to do this too. sigh! It's great that you can embrace a healthy lifestyle together and have it be BOTH of your goals!

I'm finding your blog through Runs For Cookies! So glad I did!

Curious, how tall IS your husband? My 17yo is 6'8" and my 15yo is 6'9".

Kelly, thank you! I wanted to save it but it rained that night and it somehow got left on the picnic table outside :(
