A Regular Day in the Neighborhood

Today was just another regular plain jane day. I'm kind of visualizing that each day off of school brings me that much more peace and readiness for next semester. So everyday I try to accomplish something on my mental list of decluttering.

Today was to take down the Christmas tree, and too get rid of some old books. While I was taking down the tree I found this ribbon, and put it on Beanka haha
She's so cute!

All I need to do tomorrow is put the books in my car and take them to the library here at work. Tomorrow I am decluttering my makeup desk and clearing out some clothing to try to get money at Plato's Closet. I lit all of my candles today and stuck one in each room! I love candles!!

In the meantime, i thought I would show you my eats for the day! For Breakfast, I had an apple and a banana with two glasses of iced coffee with Hazelnut creamer.

Lunch was a light wheat english muffin with a over easy egg, ham, havarti cheese, and onion chived cream cheese (I don't have to tell you how good this was!) with some Wasabi Peas on the side.

Have you ever had Wasabi Peas? I was just Facebooking about them earlier today, I love them for many reasons! They're crunchy with a sweet taste in the background followed by a PUNCH of spicy! It's a different spice then hot sauce but it's SO GOOD! As addicting as they could be, it's nearly IMPOSSIBLE to go overboard with these because the fire builds and starts stinging my nose! It's the perfect thing to grab when I just feel snacky. 55 peices equal 130 calories so i'm good!

For dinner, I'm having a salad of Romaine and baby spinach topped with some roasted broccoli. I roasted the florets with fat free italian dressing, garlic powder, onion powder, and pepper. So yummy, especially the carmelized parts. The trick to eating veggies is making it taste good! Roasting is a great option!o

I'm also going to have some Yellow bell pepper strips with red pepper hummus, a great combination!

Since eating well is all about balance, I'm going to have a serving of this ice cream I found IT'S SO GOOD.

My idea for keeping myself in line with eating all my fruits and veggies, is to 'reward' myself with a sweet treat at night when I go home! So far it's been working really well!

Well that's all she wrote folks! Love you!

so I'm not sure if I've said this before in response to any of your previous blogs, but the best candles by far to buy are woodwick candles. I'm not sure where else exactly they have them but I know for sure we sell them at cracker barrel. They have the best scents and last forever! ughhh they're awesome! anyhoo.

Hazelnut is my favorite creamer. Have you tried creme brulee creamer? mmmmm mmm mmm!

Hey Ali! Thanks for reading my blog, I love yours too, it's very inspirational! If you had a restaurant I'd visit A LOT!

Mollie-Bear, I want a woodwick candle!! I've got to get on the lookout for them! I haven't had creme brulee but I bet it's AWESOME!

Wasabi peas?? I don't like peas except in Indian food, but I think I might like those. I'll have to keep an eye out for them!

Roasting is my FAVORITE way to eat veggies!! I haven't tried wasabi peas, but I've seen them in the grocery store. I love peas, but I have no idea if I like wasabi...? Maybe I'll give them a try :)
