The First Day of the Rest of My Life

I've always liked the saying "The First Day of the Rest of My Life". It motivates me that yesterdays decisions don't matter, and to live in the present, not the future, or the past.

With that being said, I focused on doing things today that I wanted to do.

I wrapped presents (at 1am)

Watched a 'Chick Flick' (at 2am)

Read a people magazine (at 3:30am)

Watched the finale of The Biggest Loser (at 11:15am)

Took extra time on my hair and makeup (3pm)

Etc etc.

As you can see, I stayed up past 4am last night (Rrrr this morning) since Marc had to work until 6:30am. I wanted to stay up as long as possible so that our sleep schedules would both be a little skewed. He works for a company that sorts mail, and with the holidays he has to pick up other shifts. Unfortunately last night he couldn't sleep between his first and second shift (home at 10pm, left at 1:30am). I felt so bad, so that last thing I wanted to do was wake him up too early this morning because I had had a regular sleep night. Our apartment is so tiny, I would wake him no matter what I did. We ended up waking up at around 11am and he's at home taking a nap before work (he's actually probably up now and left for work).

I'm shipping out packages tomorrow (hope they'll get to my family on time!) and I have to take my last final! I think I'm quite prepared, so we'll see!

What have you done for 'you' today???

Jason and I worked the night shift together once early in our marraige. That was crazy. After that, we decided ot always have jobs that were in the first shift area!!
