People's Half Their Size

I was so excited to see the new Half Their Size issue of People at the grocery store today!! It's my favorite issue, which I read throughout the year gaining inspiration when I need it most.

It was sooo good, the highlight of my day! There really is nothing better than seeing success stories. This year they even showed people from the past 10 years, basically updating us on their maintenance. Plus the past Biggest Losers, and their maintenance as well! It was great!

I'm planning my own 'half their size' which I could be reaching this year HOW INSANE! I just wish I had more before pictures! :)

Marc and I have been doing really well gym wise, and I'm just trying to savor the last few weeks before school. Hope you guys had a great day!

That is probably a good issue to get. I've got about 50 lbs to go before I'm half my size. I can't WAIT! (Or is it weight?) I know what you mean about needing more before pics. But at least we have something right? I'm always surprised by how many people took none for quite a while into their adventure. Have a great day!

I'm one of those who didn't have a lot of pictures of myself at my "before" weight. And I was there for 30 years! YIKES! But I was always the one with the camera, taking the pictures and let's face it--at over 300 lbs., you don't want to see pictures of yourself. I LOVED the new issue of People too. I lost half my weight, I think I hit that milepost last March. It was HUGE for me--I took pictures of the scale and posted a blog about it.

My goal weight was a few pounds lighter, and I hit that in April. That was big too--but to hit a point where you weigh HALF what you used to is quite monumental. I know it just means you used to really be FAT, but I'll take the accolades anyway!

I saw that issue the other day and flipped through it but didn't buy it. I have this thing where I just don't like reading magazines, something about the way they feel? I don't know. So I didn't buy it. But it looked cool.

I'm not planning to get down to half my size. That would be 127 lbs for me and while I've been that size before (was around 118-125 for years before I got sick), it is too small for my body frame. I'm much, much better around 135-155 lbs.

Dupster- I just left a comment on your spark page, you are so inspiring! I want to be just like you!

Amanda- That's WAY thin my goodness! I love magazines, sometimes pictures is what I need...especially of hot celebs LOL! Bradley Cooper anyone?

I'll have to find the issue at the library since I think I missed it in the stores. I tell everybody who is looking to lose weight to get their hands on anything they can read about those who have lost weight and succeeded at keeping it off. You need to know it's possible, even for people who have more weight to lose than you do!

so true. It's about inspiration, and knowing that everything is in fact possible!
