Accident update, plus PIZZA!

So, as you could prbably imagine, the accident has left me utterly freaked. I am scared of getting in the car. I had to go to Urgent Care yesterday and was told I have bruised ribs, chest contusion, and severe whiplash. I'm feeling better since they've got me doped up on pain meds, but beng dopey means no school. I took off to day and tomorrow. On the bright side, none of my injuries are all that serious. Plus we were just told that the car is totaled (deemed by insurance) and we will be getting back 700$ more than what we owed. Which is GREAT NEWS! We went to the salvage yard to say goodbye...

I'm nervous about getting very far behind in school. I just have to try to relax and know that I am dedicated enough to get caught up. My professors have been extremely understanding so let's hope they stay that way. The jury is still out on if I will be getting another vehicle. I'm kind of leaning against it as we could use the money we spent on car payment each month, I get car pooled, and marc's job is a bit flexible at the moment. However, nothing is set in stone.

To try and celebrate a shitty week, Marc and I made pizza. Can you guess what's on Marc's pizza? Scroll down for answer...

Answer: Roasted Cherry tomatoes, jalapeno, goat cheese and american cheese over a garlic oil sauce.

I made all of the doughs in the bread machine, with garlic red pepper flakes, and oregano in the crust.

This is mine, what do you think I put on top?

Still confused? It's chopped beets and goats cheese with regular sauce :)

Thanks for playing. My headache has unfortunately come back from writing this (shoulders ache) so I'm gonna sign off. Goodnight.

Question: What do you like as your pizza topping and/or in your fridge what concotion would you put on your pizza?

Well that's good you're getting back more than you owed. I'd think on it to see if you need a car if you truly think you can do without one. I know what you mean about not wanting to get into the car again. A car spun into us and it took 3 weeks before I could ride in the car without white knuckling it. Hope you feel better soon and PLEASE get thorough exams and make the other guys insurance pay for everything!

I'm so sorry to hear about all of the pain you're in. Just don't get hooked on anything! As far as pizza goes, I really like just sauce and mozzarella cheese. Don't get me wrong, I'll eat just about anything on pizza, (except beets!), but the original is my favorite.

Again, I am so glad you're ok. That's awesome about getting more back than you owed. I wish we could do without a car payment, it sucks...but if you can go without a car, power to you. Unfortunately we couldn't. Even if I didn't have a ten minute drive to work, chad drives about an hour, so obviously we have to keep a car. Plus there's no way I'm going to take her on a bus or anythin. lol.

Ooooh the pizzas look yummy! Though, his looks better to me. sorry...beets gross me out. lol.

I love pepperoni and shrooms on mine, but we make ones at home with ground beef, onions, peppers, shrooms, sauce and cheese at home and it's so yummy!!

I'm still terrified of the intersection where I got in my car crash in May! It's only a mile from our house and I go through it nearly every day, so that makes it hard!!

As for pizza, I can't make it at home. When I do, it's not nearly as filling or tasty as restaurant pizza, and I end up eating like 6 times as much, so I eat way too many calories even if slice-by-slice the home-made stuff is better for me. So I just get it from the store. However, my favorite thing to ADD to a pizza is boiled egg slices. I first started doing this after a six-week stay in France in 1999. They got us Dominoes, and there were little egg-slice-looking things on it, and I thought that sounded like such a great idea! Instead, it ended up being goat cheese, which I HATE. Bleagh! But at least I got a good idea out of it. :D

Amanda- your pizza toppings sound as weird as mine LOL! No wonder were buddies! Anele- I'm so happy for it, this week sucks. I did get Xrays and all to make sure I was okay, they are all in agreement that it's all temporary pains. Frickin- I love a cheese pizza too! Mollie- I hear that a lot lol, beets aren't alot of peoples things, I just recently started enjoying them. plus they're beautiful!

Thank goodness nothing serious happened! And I hope that you are coping up nicely after that unfortunate incident. But I think your car got a pretty bad blow. Accidents can really leave us feeling shaken and startled. Just relax and take it easy. Just think that you are lucky enough to survive the crash, and concentrate on getting back on track, especially with your school work. Keep safe!

Good to hear your injuries were not that serious. Your car, on the other hand, looks devastated. All in all, I think you were blessed to still be alive after all that has happened. It’s in times like these that we truly appreciate the beauty of life. What happen to the other car that hit you?
