Down in the Dumps

Do you ever have those nights where nothing immediately has gone wrong, but you're overwhelming sad anyway? I'm feeling pretty down in the dumps tonight. I hate feeling like this, but it kind of seems that everywhere my mind turns, it's a negative feeling. Whether it be sadness, despair at the unknown, fear, guilt, jealousy, or straight up rage, I can't seem to get past it. It seems like EVERY aspect of my life is filled with negativity at the moment, I just need to try and get past it I guess. There is no way through it, except to just go through it.

So I'm going to watch some youtube videos and try to forget about it.

Here are a couple that Marc would play me over and over again when I was sick. Let me know if you enjoyed them!
a more 'serious' one... Plus my personal favorite technical song of all time, Kimbra's got it going on. She's got such an eye for tone, build up, and layering. I wish I would have known about this song when I was in music appreciation class! Okay, I've successfully taken myself out of my scumlife and into youtube land. I'm off to drown my pitiful sorrows.

Maybe focus on what's going RIGHT in your life. I know the shit has really hit the fan for you lately, but if you keep a gratitude journal, you may be able to turn that frown upside down! (Great, I probably made it worse- you hurt yourself rolling your eyes so hard!!!)

So sorry you are going thru this and I cant say I know "exactly" how you feel, but I have hit some rough patches lately myself. I agree with Linda- try to focus on what is positive in your life right now. And BTW...I love Gangam Style. One of my favs.

I have had days like that too, but I am so sorry you feel this way. Sometimes you need to just be by yourself, drink some hot tea, and cry/journal it out by yourself. Life can be overwhelming, and though I wish I could say actual ways to make it go away, time is really all that can work for you. Being by yourself can really help though. When things get to much for me, the quiet just helps. I don't know. It just seems to being you back to what your focus points should be, and to help reprioritize your life.

I love you.
