Schoolday highlights

Today is Tuesday which means....YOU GUESSED IT! school!!!

I started out with English and tried not to fall asleep, got home at 9:30am and totally crashed until noon. I didn't wanna get out of bed this morning boo hoo!

I had to get myself up though because my other class downtown starts at 1pm. I ate a pb&j and booked it downtown. IT WAS SO COLD!! I have to walk about 5 blocks to college so I was frozen icicles by the time I got to class.

After school let out I went to the library and picked out these books:

That last one might be hard to see but it is a polish book with audio cd's that help you learn Polish. I really need to learn it because today I was getting ready for work at about 4pm, I'm blow drying my hair and watching TV in my little after shower dress thing like this big:

(trust me i know I don't look like this LOL)

and I see Nana's head poke through the doorway! TALK ABOUT SCARE ME TO DEATH! She was talking to me in polish and I kept saying i don't understand, I don't understand, until she finally told me she was looking for Aspirin and had a headache. poor thing. I gave her some Motrin and put her in bed. She's lucky she didn't get an eyeful if you know what I mean.

Well anyway back to the sequence of events:

The library is located across the street from The Milwaukee Public Museum and they have a beautiful butterfly exhibit! I got to see the butterflies flutter around in their room!
I tried to take a picture but realized a little too late that my camera's SD card was in the laptop at home. Here's the butterfly wing!

I got home and was soo hungry so I made up a really yummy recipe! I also failed to take a picture of it :( because I left my camera in the car, and I was NOT going to go out and get it! COLD!

I named the recipe Bacon-y bok choy with sunny side egg

Are you grossed out? You shouldn't be it was sooo good!

3 slices chopped bacon
1 head of bok choy
1 clove of garlic, pressed or minced
1 egg

Cook the bacon until slightly starting to give off it's fat. Add all of the bok choy, stir continuously until the bacon is almost crisp and the bok choy has lost some of it's rawness. Add garlic and egg in the middle of the greens. cook until sunny side! Serve with greens around the egg. This would bee good with spinach, or swiss chard too! Eat your greens!

I also watched Dr. Phil's housewives (I'm so addicted to that show).

Now I am at work and watching the clock.. just an hour and a half left!

Goodnight!

LOCKED OUT!

I am really starting to hate my early morning class. I didn't pick it on purpose, but in order to start school this semester I had to take this one! I usually end up getting only 4-5 hours of sleep and really drag in the morning. It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have to work so late! Oh well, lesson learned and I'm already thinking about my next semesters classes, and making sure that my classes aren't so early in the morning. Ugh I'm sad to say that I didn't go to Curves this morning. Today really was just an all around "bad" day. :( Maybe I should get a gym bag that I can leave in the car so it will already be in there for the next day? I have to get motivated. Weird how when I feel really good about my progress that I work out harder but when i feel not so good about myself I don't want to work out. I would think it would be the opposite. Honestly i want to run more but it is too cold out and I don't think that is a good idea. I'll have to stick to the treadmill.

In other news, here is a recap of my night last night...

I had this for a snack, yummy pumpkin "cake" (more like a bread in a cake form) with molasses.

Marc and I had a snuggle fest with Frankie.

What the heck were we watching?

I left a message with the vet today hopefully we can get him an appointment soon.

I walked to school today and to the library. It was pretty nice and sunny but really cold. I am wondering how this is going to work when it's snowing outside? I am really not looking forward to this winter, but I am trying to stay positive! Here are a few random pictures from today... I have started to really like taking pictures! Plus I liked my outfit (really bad lighting)

Love marc's face, this was an accidental picture! Like nana's house? It's weirdly awesome in it's own quirky way.

I always look like such a sour puss. I really hate the way I look. That's so awful to feel.

I thought my outfit was cute, but then again I look at this and think God your really too heavy.

Ugly Elevator.

Some of Downtown Milwaukee on my walk to school.

On to the really bad part of the day... I got locked out of the house and had to drive to Marc's work and get his key. That really sucked and I cried a little and it just was bad. I didn't have my phone, i had to BANG on Nana's door for 15 minutes because she wouldn't open it, try to explain to her what was going on, Marc, Alice, and Andrea wouldn't answer the phone...AND when I finally started to get to Marc's work I got lost trying to find the way. I was almost late to work... but it all worked out and tomorrow is another day!

I have LOTS of homework but after 2 hours of it I'm calling it a homework free night. I'm off to make a grocery list and watch some Youtube. See ya later, hopefully a lot less stressful next time.

Chinese and Hookey

I woke up this morning trying to think of the many excuses I could give for not going to school. So I said forget it I don't need an excuse I'm sleeping in! And I did, until ELEVEN! Way too much sleep and I woke up feeling really bad for not going to school, but whats done is done and it really isn't that big of a deal. I know what is due on Thursday and I can get it done tomorrow no sweat!

I did end up going to my second class at 12:30 and it was a walk in the park. His class is very easy and laid back. After class I walked to the public library and I fell in love with it!! What a beautiful library wish I would have taken pictures. This is the biggest library in Milwaukee county and I could tell that they had put a lot of time and effort into it. I can't wait to go back again soon! The only problem was I got cat called 8 times!! I can't believe it! It really made me feel uncomfortable, come to find out the neighborhood really isn't that great. I just hope none of them try to bother me past the usual pick up lines and such.

At the library I picked up three stories that are based on Cinderella for class on Thursday and I also picked up a book that was recommended by library staff called Winter's Bone. So far it's pretty good. The Ozarks sound really scary though, very backwoods.

I finally found the time to paint my nails today. I love this color from OPI it's called little red wagon. I did this while watching Dr. Phil's housewives, my absolute favorite show on TV right now.

At work the wind was WHIPPING! They were calling for 50-60 mph winds and I don't think they were far off! Here are a few pictures from my car of Lake Michigan and some bush next to me :)

One thing really sucked though, I was making my oatmeal for dinner (which I was already very unhappy about having to eat) and it EXPLODED in the microwave! I ended up calling out for chinese and suffered my way through some pork fried rice and Hot and Sour soup. The soup was perfect for my braces but the damn rice got everywhere and I couldn't eat the pork. So frustrating but I did get full!

Now on to the rest of my evening, I'll be here at work until 11 and then home for a rest and a cuddle from Marc...awww!
