Three Squares: Last Post Of Summer

Listening to an audiobook for class tomorrow, so this'll be a short post.

Breakfast: cereal with almond milk, chocolate pretzels black iced coffee and applesauce

Lunch: Egg sandwich with provolone, jalapeƱo and baby kale, chips with salsa and mint gelato! A treat from my love.

Dinner: Grapes, roasted curry cauliflower, pretzels and tofu dogs.

I'll be making a recipe post on these soon! I'm proud of my creation!

Makeup Makeovers

So, I've heard the desire for more makeup/beauty related posts. I'm kind of in that mood myself. As you probably know, I've been sick lately and just as the doctor told me, my energy is non existent. Tomorrow I'm going on a weekend vacation after my Saturday morning class. I really hope I am feeling better! I promise to make the most of it. Since I start full time school (my senior year of college) on Monday.

Anyway, back to makeup... Did you know that I love it? I would assume so, but this summer I haven't worn a lot of it because it's been hot and to be honest, I haven't been myself. I don't know where I got the love of makeup from, my mom NEVER wore it and my older sister didn't dabble in it much either.

Since I'm recuperating and bored, I figured I'd post a few tricks I've learned a long the way and play with fun colors!

Please note, that I wish I had a model to play with but it was just me and Beanka pup in the house so it was either me or the dog. I chose me... so beware of lots of close ups of Czesia.

First, always start off with a fresh face. It's like your canvas, so make sure it's ready to be painted! Then show the world what you look like sick and without a stitch of makeup on haha! You can skip that step if you want. I'm adding it because I want you to know dear reader, that I love myself even without makeup on. It's important because if you try and erase everything that makes you unique, than who are your really? A plastic impression of someone else, or what someone else defines as beautiful? No thanks.

OK! So, what is the most important thing to remember about makeup, in my opinion? I think it's EYEBROWS. Don't forget your eyebrows, they are like a picture frame for your eyes. Try to keep them within two shades of your hair color, and bigger/darker = younger appearance. Also, as you can see I have a more rounded face so I go for a more angular pinup brow. The more angular/sharp your features are the more rounded your brow should be.

There are so many more things I want to tell you about eyebrows haha! Maybe I'll do a couple follow up posts that are more in detail if you guys like it. I've gone over eyes before, but one quick tip is that if you want your eyes to look larger, make sure to concentrate darker colors toward the outside corner of the eye. This is why the winged liner has always been such a favorite for generations.

Let's talk lips...

Red lipsticks with a bluish tint are more complementary, especially on cool toned skin like mine (pink undertones and blue veins on inside of wrists). They also make your teeth look super white! Bonus! To keep your color on longer, line your lips with a similar shade and color in the lines like you're a kindergartner with a fresh set of crayolas.

What about nudes? Nudes are hard because it's easy to pick something skin toned that washes you out. I wanted to show you how you can get a great looking nude color that's based on what you already have at home if you wear makeup. Also, I think nudes look best with a darker eye, so I added a bit more color to my lids as well.

Here I've applied this first coat of our special nude color made just for you, this is my concealer! It made my lips slightly ghostly and matte. Not so bad, but we can do better...

Add a clear based lipgloss that complements your skin tone, the more olive or tan your skin is the more of a tan/ olive color you should pick! I'm a pinky pink girl so pinky pink it is!(I dont think covergirl makes wetslicks amazement anymore, which is too bad this is my jam!)

Ta da! Nude!

My last tip of the day is how to add a bright shadow without looking like you're straight out of the eighties.

Add a pop of color on the middle of the lower eyelid after applying a Smokey eye. Move the color up from the middle onto the crease of the eye for added drama. Make sure it's not the only color on the eye or else there will be no added dimension/interest.

No puppies were made to wear makeup in the sake of Czesia Lives blog, but posing for the camera..yuparoo!

Do you like makeup? Do you have any favorite applications/ looks? How about special makeup tricks/requests from me?

Three Squares: Amoxicillin Coma

Dudes, I feel like a bear in winter. Yup, it's hibernation station over here. I had a bit of energy earlier today but it's all gone now. It's more than gone, it's vamoosed! Moose and bear? What the hell is in these pills?

On to Three Squares

Breakfast: I enjoyed a nice morning off by pinteresting and having a late breakfast. Today was cereal in almond milk, egg and cheese muffin and a banana. Black iced coffee on the side as per usual.

My little breakie spot

Lunch: Prepared by my dear sweet husband, grilled cheese on rye, pretzels, applesauce and pickles. Forgive the beige today, I am not kidding you when I say beige was all I could handle at this point of the day. I was a sick lady! Notice the pill? Icky.

Dinner: A hodgepodge of things here and there. These vegetarian "chicken" tenders are beyond good, much better than any nugget I've ever had. With the nugs, I had tortilla chips, roasted broccoli, orange slices and chocolate pretzels.

I'm off to go try and move around a bit. I'm sorry to say my only exercise today was shopping haha! Oh well, when I feel better I'll do a "two a day". Goodnight faithful blog readers! By the way, I've gotten a much bigger hit on my blog today from the fashion show post! I'll be sure to integrate more beauty and fun life posts so it will be more entertaining than just seeing what I've eaten every day!

Back To School Fashion Show!

I have strep throat, boohoo. Thankfully my throat doesn't feel too bad but I have NO ENERGY. I can't even lift my arms for that long, they get too tired. So in an effort to make myself feel better, I decided it was time to buy new clinical and school clothes. Don't worry, I became "non-contagious" at 7 this morning.

I love thrift stores, you can find a lot of cute things on the cheap! So, what does $99.03 get you at your local thrift shop (is that bad to say how much you spend)? Be sure to go all the way down to see the fashion show!

PJ's, I know people don't like to buy nighties and such at thrift stores but my rule is everything get's q good washing and is good as new.

It's time for the fashion show! I was hemming and hawing about this top, in the end I'm glad I bought it.

Same pants as before, I love this wrap top.

I'll need to hem these workout pants!

This jacket is so comfortable!

Talk about a comfortable dress! I could see myself wearing this at clinical and feeling in my element all day!

This navy blue dress is snug, so it's going to worn proudly next summer!

This pinkish purple dress needs something underneath. It's too short for my liking! Love the pockets!

These pants will fit better when I've lost a little bit more weight. I love this top!

My favorite outfit! I'm holding it there because it's missing a very important button haha! Easy fix!
Can you see the silver thread in the shirt? Those jeans are meant for me!

I got this belt to go with a dress I had purchased from the thrift shop when my sister was in town. Perfect!

A close up of the brooch I put on it, perfect for my future profession as a dietitian!

I hope you enjoyed the show! What was you favorite outfit? Do you give thrift stores a chance?

Three Squares: Bay-gel or Bag-gel?

Breakfast: Iced black coffee, grapes, walnuts and a bagel with cinnamon and butter. Do you pronounce the word "bagel" as bay-gel or bag-gel, or maybe even a different way? The kids I watch pronounce it as bag-gel, but I've always called it a bay-gel! The laugh at me about it, just a silly difference of accents. Just like your Aunt isn't an Ant, she's an Aunt! If that made sense in writing!

Lunch: Delicious eggplant and green beans from dinner last night, with some sweet potato fries, cinnamon applesauce, pretzels and rice cakes.

Dinner: Roasted veggie pizza, peppers and a package of chocolate covered pretzels. I started feeling sick today, the kiddos I watch got strep throat, and I think I may have caught it. I don't have a sore throat her but other signs are leading to sickness. I hope not, because Marc and I are going on a weekend getaway! Since school starts for me on Saturday, we leave for Port Washington WI after my class is over. I better not be getting sick! If things don't look better by tomorrow morning I'll be going to a clinic.

I'll be walking today for my exercise! I'm counting last week as my start so today is my 10th day of 100 days of exercise!

Hope everyone's happy that were getting closer to the weekend! Goodnight!

Three Squares: I Cheated!

Finally a breakfast I wanted to eat! Egg and cheddar sandwich with spinach and red pepper, and an orange. My only complaint was that I was hungry rather quickly after this meal.

Let's get a close up of this bad boy!

Lunch was a mishmash of different things. PB&J, mac & cheese, radishes with cottage cheese and green onions, Tortilla chips with salsa, and applesauce. Applesauce is such an easy go to lunch item because it's so easy, and yummy!

After work, Marc and I went to his parents house for dinner. I just love them so much! I don't see them as often as I would like to, but am vowing to change that! Here Marc's getting some delicious eggplant.

Dinner was the eggplant casserole with tofu and mushrooms, bruschetta with basil we had just picked from the garden, and green bean salad that we brought to share. I added some pretzels and jam from the appetizers since I was saving them to put on my plate.... and then....

I cheated! I got a slice of strawberry rhubarb pie yum... the best kind of fourth plate

What a relaxing day spent with family. There is something to be said about spending time with those that love you, and treat you the best. I always feel that way with my hubby's parents, they are truly my parents, not just a legal hullabaloo. We went swimming, I did my nails, and I did my mom's eyebrows. I love catching up with them!  Kocham Cie Mamu!

Three Squares: Two Pounds Down!

Good Monday, y'all! I started the day with a two pound weight loss! Very encouraging, especially since Three Squares is probably the easiest "plan" I've ever done. Being active an hour a day hasn't hurt either! More on that later... Breakfast was slim pickins', I forgot my breakfast at home so I made the best of what I could at work. I ended up not eating the banana though. I really wanted some eggs for protein. I had cinnamon puffins with milk, and peanut butter toast with raspberries.

Lunch was yummy, but when I looked back on the picture it's pretty beige. I try to incorporate a fruit and veggie on each plate, but my applesauce is looking pretty beige too ha! That grilled cheese though, mmmmm. It's on rye, my favorite. I also had a package of chocolate pretzels, honey wheat pretzels, carrot, and a mini pizza that the kiddo I watch didn't want to eat. I hate food waste, do you?

Dinner was the winner of best meal of the day. Kale salad with grapes and tortillas and roasted veggie pizza that I threw baby spinach all over before cooking. The pizza was very good, I picked it up from Aldi. It had artichoke hearts, mushrooms, peppers, onions,  spinach and tons of rosemary!

So about exercise, I am happy to say I have been making every workout as scheduled just like an appointment. So I'm joining a blogger friends 100 days of exercise! I'll be updating my exercises daily now as well as uploading the blog. Today, Marc and I are heading to the Y for our exercise. He's planning on treadmilling it up, and I am going to be working on my elliptical fitness and the rowing machine.
